Who am I, you ask?
Good question.
My name is Debora, and I have been making things ever since my chubby toddler hands could grab paintbrushes or pens. I've always been drawn to narrative, and I explore it through photography and writing.
When I was five, I immigrated from Eastern Europe to Scotland. That cultural shift massively shaped my perspective, and I've been fascinated by different ways of seeing the world ever since. Studying Spanish Literature at Oxford deepened my love for language and how stories transcend borders. My academic background and curiosity about the world quietly informs what I create. Aged 19, I survived brain cancer. Life became more urgent, but also much more vivid. I feel a pull to chase honesty in expression and to create the work I care about.
I could be behind a camera or hunched over a notebook, but I am still seeking the same thing. I crave the feeling of something genuine, and maybe a little strange.

If you've read this far, we really need to talk...
